Comparative Study on the Total Phenolics, Total Flavonoids, and Biological Activities of Papaver rhoeas L. Extracts from Different Geographical Regions of Morocco

In this research, a comparative analysis was carried out to characterize the content of phenolics and biological activities whole plant Papaver rhoeas L. (P. rhoeas) from different geographical regions Morocco, as well determine synergistic antimicrobial antioxidant effects all parts P. rhoeas. The determination total polyphenol (TPC), flavonoid (TFC), anthocyanin (TA) in extracts plants three regions: Taounate (P1E), Fez (P2E), Sefrou (P3E) were estimated by Folin–Ciocalteu reaction, aluminum trichloride method differential pH absorption technique, respectively. Two tests used evaluate power our samples: DPPH test TAC test. Using two methods, disk diffusion microdilution, activity studied against four pathogenic bacteria one yeast. results TPC, TFC, TA show that P3E sample is richest polyphenols, flavonoids, anthocyanins, with values 37.33 ± 1.307 mg GAE/g, 4.72 0.346 QE/g, 1.77 0.026 CGE/g, addition, showed best an IC50 = 0.27 0.001 mg/mL 9.99 0.768 AAE/g, significant on almost tested strains. lowest MIC recorded for E. coli ATCC 25922 CIP 53126 strains at 0.78 mg/mL, These region can influence plant’s phytochemistry then these activities.
